We drove to Napier today to look at a car after not finding one at a decent price in Taupo. We is Kelly, her mum, sister and nephew. Her mum was kind enough to pick me up early so we could take a look around Taupo and after that we got sushi. The sushi here is huge, not like the tiny sushi you get in the Netherlands. After 3 pieces I was like “Okay, I won’t need to eat for another year”.
It was a good 2 hours drive and it was very, very pretty. It is sad I forgot to take my DSLR, so I only got phone pics. We stopped for icecream, which was with freshly mixed berries and super tasty. Especially because it was 28 degrees today.
When we arrived in Napier we took a look at the car and did a test drive. I found out that driving on the left isn’t that hard, but the roads feel different and there are other rules and expectations. It takes a bit of getting used to.
After I bought this amazing car, we went to the lakeside and had a ‘Snapper Burger’, with fresh fish. Nomnom, all this amazing food today!
The lakeside was pretty, but I like Taupo more.
Today was an amazing day with lovely food and I am so happy to have bought my first car! Looking forward to exploring the country with it. Good night for now!
